Finger Food 5 (Oriental Flavours - Bakkwa)

Bakkwa, a Hokkien word, also known as rougan in Mandarin, is a Chinese salty-sweet dried meat to duct similar to jerky. It is often made with beef, pork or chicken. It is considered as a snack in Southeast Asia. Bee Cheng Hiang is one of the most famous Bakkwa brand in Singapore. Local Chinese people like buying Bakkwa as Chinese New Year gifts to give out to friends and relatives.

Finger Food 2 (Singapore local delights)

I tried to draw out some famous Singapore food. Chicken porridge is Chinese food and that particular bowl in the picture was my dinner on that day. I drew it first before eating.

Nasi lemak and Briyani are my favorite food though I am chinese ethnic. Nasi lemak is a Malay food. It is a fragrant rise dish cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf. The rice is usually served with various side dishes such as roared peanuts, hard boiled egg, fried anchovies, and cucumber slices.

Briyani originated in Iran but developed to current recipe in India. It is a set of rice-based foods made with spices, meat, fish, eggs or vegetables.

All are so yummy!

Finger Food 1 (Fast Food)

Food is something we see everyday. It is easy to tell whether one can draw well when drawing something everybody is familiar with. Without using any stylus, I was using my right index finger to draw on my iPad. Thus, pictures shown below are indeed 'finger food'! (:
